Mooi River is located in the picturesque Natal Midlands- 65 Kms from Pietermaritzburg the Capital of Kwa-Zulu Natal- and a mere 120Kms from Durban.

Access to Mooi River and Weston is as simple as turning off the N3 Motorway. There are two ways to access Mooi River- The easiest way will be to come off the N3 motorway at one of the off ramp toll gates- This will then put you into Mooi River if coming from the Durban-Pietermaritzburg side, you will need to turn right at the first Stop street and then continue down the road for ± 500m Where a road sign will instruct you to turn right onto the Old Greytown Rd. Having done this you will then proceed down the road for ±2.2kms- to the Weston Agricultural College sign- Then turn right again and you will be on the property and embarking on your high school adventure.

If you are travelling in from Johannesburg the format is a wee bit different- you also turn off at one of the off ramps- and then turn Left- Proceed up the hill until you get to a stop street- Turn Right and pass our rival school Treverton on your left- enter Mooi River via a circle- (Please just continue straight) pass the Engen One Stop and cross over the river- Once you have done this continue up the road for ±500m and turn left on to the Old Greytown Rd. Having done this you will then proceed down the road for ±2.2kms- to the Weston Agricultural College sign- Then turn right again and you will be on the property and also embarking on your high school adventure.

If you would rather enjoy the Midlands Meander before hitting high school then my advice to you is start in Howick follow the Old Howick road all the way through the quaint villages of Nottingham Road and Rosetta, Passing through the villages will give you a taste of how we country folk live. After reaching Mooi River continue passed the Engen-Wimpy Garage, having passed this on your LEFT- you will also have to continue down the road for ± 500m- where a road sign will instruct you to turn right onto the Old Greytown Rd.

Having done this you will then proceed down the road for ±2.2kms- to the Weston Agricultural College sign- Then turn right again and you will be on the property and embarking on your High School adventure. I trust that you will find your way to us with out the slightest problem.

Location - Climate

Spring/Summer Climate
During the spring and summer months temperatures in Mooi River range from 15'C to 35'C. The summer days are frequently quite hot, with frequent light to heavy showers.

Autumn/Winter Climate
During the autumn and winter months temperatures in Mooi River range between -5'C to 25'C, although we frequently reach as low as -8 here at Weston. Sometimes sunny but can get very cold. The last heavy snowfall was in 2007.
